Zoe Kravitz experimented with 'really thin' eyebrows when she was a teenager

Zoe Kravitz once tried “really really thin” eyebrows when she was a teenager.

The Big Little Lies star opened up about her daily routine in a new video for Vogue.com, and while discussing her favorite skincare products, Zoe recalled how her mother Lisa Bonet scolded her for overdoing pliers when she was about 15 years old.

“I started wearing makeup when I was 14 or 15. My mom always tried to convince me not to, but I was going to buy it. I also plucked my really thin eyebrows when “I was 15. My mother yelled at me, God bless her soul, and told me that if I ever touched my eyebrows again, she would be angry,” the actress recalls. “And I'm so glad she did it because I love my eyebrows, they're nice and thick and they've grown back.”

Zoe went on to admit that she has no desire to try thin arches again and has also given up bright blue eyeliner for life.

“I lived in Miami for a while and there was a very specific trend of this blue gel liner that all the girls were wearing. I was this 15 year old girl with really small eyebrows and this blue line on my eyes …it was a look!” » laughed the 32-year-old.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Zoe named Nudies Matte Blush & Bronze by Nudestix, Poutliner Longwear Lip Pencil by Marc Jacobs Beauty, and Touche Eclat High Cover Concealer by Yves Saint Laurent among her makeup kit must-haves.

“I love makeup, I love doing it, it's a literal art form. I also think there are fun little secrets, it's fun that no one can tell you're wearing something on your eyes or on your face, it’s like a little thing,” she added.
