Young man and teenager charged with burglary and assault on New Year's Day in Palmyra

A young adult and a teenager are charged with burglary and assault after allegedly breaking into a Palmyra home on Jan. 1, police said.

The Western Lebanon County Regional Police Department arrested Isaiah Williamson, 18, of Hershey, and a 17-year-old woman on July 3, saying they forced their way into a residence in the 600 block of North Railroad Street and attacked the people inside on New Year's Day.

Police said that prior to the incident, the victim and the 17-year-old were involved in an ongoing argument on Facebook Messenger over an ex-boyfriend. The 17-year-old and another person then allegedly threatened to go to the North Railroad Street residence.

According to court documents, the victim tear gassed the 17-year-old girl as she tried to enter the home. The victim was then punched in the face by the 17-year-old girl and Williamson, causing bloody injuries.

Williamson and the teen then fled the home after others in the house fought with them, police said. Five people at the North Railroad Street residence told police the 17-year-old and Williamson forced their way in and assaulted the victim.

“It was determined that at least one of the actors was wearing a ski mask over his face in an attempt to conceal his identity,” police said in court documents. “A ski mask was found inside the residence after the incident and it appears to have been worn by Isaiah Williamson.”

Police spoke to the 17-year-old girl, who confirmed that she and three friends, including Williamson, went to the residence that night. She said she was immediately pepper-sprayed by an unidentified woman, then dragged into the house and assaulted. She suffered injuries including a split inner lip and a bloody nose, according to court records.

The 17-year-old girl denied to police that she was aggressive at any time during the incident and said she never voluntarily entered the home, according to court documents.

Police spoke to Williamson in April, and court documents say he denied any knowledge of the incident.

Williamson and the 17-year-old woman have been charged with burglary, criminal conspiracy to commit burglary, criminal trespass, criminal conspiracy to commit criminal trespass, simple assault, criminal conspiracy to commit simple assault, harassment and criminal conspiracy to commit harassment. Williamson also faces one count of corruption of minors.

Williamson is being held at the Lebanon County Correctional Facility, unable to post bail set at $25,000 as of Wednesday afternoon. A preliminary hearing is scheduled before Lebanon County Magisterial District Judge David Warner Jr. for 8 a.m. July 11.
