How to get Changli in Wuthering Waves

Changli is a limited 5-star character, meaning she can only be acquired on her limited banner or replay banners. If you miss her first appearance, your only option is to wait for her to return for a chance to catch up.

  • Element: Fusion
  • Armed: Sword
  • Rarity: 5 stars

Changli is a DPS that can be played either as a main DPS on the field, or as a hybrid DPS using the buffs from her Outro ability. She enjoys being paired with another Fusion character, and there are a plethora of options available at all budget levels in the form of Chixia (free from the start of the game), Mortefi (generally good 4-star gacha), and Encore (solid standard banner). 5-star).

His fighting style involves occasionally switching between dazzling ground and air fighting styles, and many of his abilities can be used in the air, providing Changli with some mobility in fights. Much of his kit counts as Skill DMG, so Skill DMG buffs are widely appreciated.

As Changli's Resonant Release has a long cooldown, the energy requirements are low, allowing you to focus on raw damage: primarily the CRIT, ATK, and DMG bonus stats. Generally, the longer the recharge time, the more time you have to gain energy over time, ultimately reducing requirements.

In terms of performance, Changli doesn't provide anything other than damage (either via DMG buffs or true damage), and his streaks (copies) simply add more damage to his attacks without changing how it is played. She's simple enough to get the job done effectively, but has enough nuance in alternating between multiple parts of her kit to maximize the use of her Forte circuit, so her fights never feel boring.

Statistics to consider

  • CRIT/DMG rate: To maximize your damage at the end of the game
  • % ATK: DMG% bonuses are plentiful in Wuthering Waves, and you'll have plenty of sources of Electro damage coming from your Echoes' main stats and teammates' buffs. ATK% is rarer in this game, and buff diversification is good in most gacha games. In the early game, you can neglect CRIT to focus on ATK%.

For any character dedicated to building damage, it's important to prioritize a 1:2 ratio of CRIT Rate to CRIT DMG. Ratios of 1:3, while they can give you a dopamine rush from higher crit numbers, actually represent less damage overall. Aim for 75; 250 in most cases! (This is because C.DMG displays differently than other gacha games, where normally the extra 100% isn't displayed but assumed)
