WSP investigates shooting on southbound I-5

I-5 South blocked before 41st in Everett

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is actively investigating a shooting that occurred at approximately 10:37 a.m. on June 12, 2024, on southbound Interstate 5, just north of the 41st Street exit ramp.

Southbound I-5, from Marine View Drive to 41st Street, did not open until just before 1 p.m.

State Patrol investigation into I-5 shooting

The suspect vehicle is a Red Chevrolet Camaro (circa 2010) with tinted rear license plate cover. The driver was described as a man with facial hair. There was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the shooting.

The victim's vehicle is a Beige 2004 Lexus SUV with several bullet holes on the rear passenger tire. There were no injuries during this incident.

WSP detectives are asking witnesses to the road rage/shooting incident with information or video footage of the suspect vehicle to call Detective Josh Lancaster at (360) 757-2008 or email him at Joshua [email protected]. Your assistance is appreciated as detectives work to locate the suspect and the suspect vehicle.
