On Friday, the Justice Department announced that Melanie Harris, 59, of Riverside, California, was sentenced in Miami for more than 240 threatening calls and voicemails she left for the former director and his family for more than four years. These culminated in death threats against the former director in October 2022.

Harris has repeatedly referenced the Oct. 27, 2018, Pittsburgh synagogue shooting that killed 11 Jewish worshipers, the deadliest anti-Semitic attack in American history.

Harris will serve 32 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
