A woman distraught over the disappearance of her dog had the best ending possible when her beloved pet returned to her.

She then had to make a long trip around the neighborhood, with her dog by her side, to collect all the hastily collected missing flyers.

In a TikTok video that has been viewed more than 128,000 times since it was shared on May 29, Perla Vanessa (@perkz.v) walks Leia on a leash through the streets of her neighborhood, where missing posters of the puppy are plastered on poles .

She wrote on the video: “POV: Taking Leia with me to remove all her missing flyers after the whole neighborhood saw me with red, swollen eyes from crying all day and night.”

Leia herself seems completely indifferent and oblivious to the terror experienced by her owner. She hops and sniffs along the sidewalk while her owner slowly fills a plastic bag with crumpled missing flyers.

The pet's grateful owner revealed in a comment that the flyers themselves helped bring Perla and Leia together.

Perla said the dog, which was not wearing a collar, was picked up by a neighbor. The neighbor had no way of knowing who it belonged to until she noticed the fliers, “and probably me crying hysterically all over the block.”

In a video update, she said Leia went missing Saturday night, but they didn't notice until Sunday because Leia is “the one in charge of all our dogs” and they usually never have to worry about She.

“In the 10 years I've had it, this has never happened before,” she said in the video. “On Sunday afternoon, I was screaming, running up and down the block, hysterical, putting up posters, going from neighbor to neighbor.”

And they “all” saw her, Perla said, with some neighbors even having photos and videos of them cuddling the little lost dog, who they didn't realize was actually lost.

Admitting that she didn't sleep at all on Sunday night because of fear, she added that Leia has a microchip, but she couldn't be sure if whoever found her would take her for a check-up or just give her away to the pound or even keep it. themselves.

“Monday afternoon, I was hysterical. I was screaming. I literally worried my family,” Perla said.

“Luckily, thanks to the posters I put up, neighbors in the area were able to call me and tell me that they had it since Sunday evening. They didn't know who to call, they were about to call the refuge. “

The dog's owner, relieved, added that Leia “would never leave me again.”
