Woman stabbed outside school while being dropped off in morning as man arrested

A woman was stabbed outside a school while dropping off children in the morning.

The victim was rushed to hospital after being seriously injured in the horrific 8.30am attack in Luton, north London, on Tuesday.

A man was arrested and taken into custody. Bedfordshire Police said all children inside the school were safe and there was no further threat to the public.

A police spokesman said: “Bedfordshire Police are investigating the stabbing of a woman near a school on Dunstable Road, Luton, shortly after 8.30am this morning (Tuesday).

“The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries. A man was arrested and is currently in police custody.

“All children are safe at school and there is no wider threat to the public. »

Police said they would maintain a heavy presence in the area to reassure the public.

“Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 84,” a police spokesperson added.
