Woman stabbed in Mira Mesa

The suspect made no statements or demands before or during the attack, and no property was seized, police said.

SAN DIEGO — A 30-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times while standing in front of her vehicle at a drive-thru ATM in San Diego on Saturday.

The assault happened around 9:55 a.m. Saturday at 8251 Mira Mesa Blvd. at a shopping center in the Mira Mesa neighborhood, according to San Diego police.

“A suspect approached the victim and punched him in the upper body. The suspect pushed the victim to the ground and then began punching him twice in the upper body,” the department reported .

The victim suffered deep cuts to his neck, left shoulder and chin, and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police described the suspect as a white man in his late 20s to mid-30s, with a medium build and brown hair. He wore a gray long-sleeved shirt and stretch pants with multi-colored flowers.

The suspect fled after passers-by came to the victim's aid. He made no statements or demands before or during the attack, and no property was seized, police said.
