Woman stabbed in head during argument in Seattle's Chinatown-International District

A 51-year-old woman was stabbed in the head in Seattle's Chinatown-International District neighborhood Thursday night.

Police said the incident happened around 6 p.m. at 1029 S Jackson St. When officers arrived, they found the woman in the hallway of the apartment bleeding.

Police also noted that the incident occurred in an upstairs apartment where four people were staying, all of whom knew each other. Officers said an argument ensued and the woman was stabbed shortly after.

Seattle firefighters took the woman to a nearby hospital, where she is said to be in stable condition.

Police recovered a box cutter and said they believed the weapon was used in the incident.

Seattle police initially arrested three people who were inside the apartment, but arrested only one man in connection with a felony assault investigation.
