A deputy driving a side-by-side all-terrain vehicle located Haith's car in a heavily vegetated area on an unmaintained, overgrown gravel road. The deputy found Shirley Haith's body a short distance from her car. Investigators said Haith became disoriented, drove down a nearly pathless road and tried to turn around.
