Woman recounts terrifying attack on dark road, Bradley County Sheriff's Office investigates – Mix 104.1 FM – WCLE – Cleveland, Tennessee

From Local 3 News: Bradley County investigators are asking for your help in identifying the man in a bizarre and terrifying roadside attack in the middle of the night last week.

A young woman who fears for her life shares her terrifying experience.

We keep his identity hidden for security reasons.

She says it all started at that intersection on Ootelwah-Georgetown and Mahan Gap Road.

By the end of the chase, he was on top of his car and screaming as he smashed his windshield.

“That’s just what struck me the most, like why… why me… or why this meeting,” she said.

She is still shaken by this experience which, according to her, was unprovoked.

Investigators say the incident happened just after midnight on June 22.

She said she was driving with her boyfriend when they noticed the man aggressively following their car.

“So the gas station was where I first came to that stop sign, and he pulled up behind me,” she explained.

Surveillance video from inside the Circle K gas station shows the man moments before he began following them.

Investigators say he was driving an F-150 truck with a white passenger door.

“I've never seen this man in my life. I've never seen this car,” he said.

She remembers that the truck was equipped with very bright LED lights, as he repeatedly used them to make her vision blinding.

“He follows me, gets really close, turns his lights on and off, and I kind of start to stress out, and my boyfriend starts telling me you're okay, you're okay,” she said. declared.

The man chased them down Mahan Gap Road into Bradley County.

She said he pulled in front of her and blocked her vehicle. When she tried to flee, he jumped out of her car.

“I hesitate and try to get around him. He jumps in front of my car,” he described. “I hit my brakes, I go to the driver's side and I start banging on my window.”

He smashed her windshield. She said she feared for her life and wondered what he was looking for.

“The one thing he kept saying was, Let me just talk to you…just let me talk to you,” she said.

She says it could be a case of mistaken identity, but she will keep him safe until he is caught.

“Every time I drive, I look for this car. I have that man’s face burned into my head,” she said.
