Woman killed in crash Tuesday near Arlee identified

Lake County Sheriff Don Bell has released the name of the 25-year-old woman who died in a crash early Tuesday morning near Arlee.

Sheriff Bell says Naomi Plant of Arlee died in the single-vehicle crash that occurred near the intersection of Dumontier and McLeod roads at 4:23 a.m.

Plant's body was transported to the state medical examiner so an autopsy could be performed.

A 25-year-old Arlee woman died early Tuesday morning in a one-vehicle crash in Lake County.

The Montana Highway Patrol reports the crash happened near the intersection of Dumontier and McLeod roads outside of Arlee at 4:23 a.m.

The victim was heading north on McLeod Road when he missed a turn, causing his Nissan Versa to go off the road and then overturn, according to MHP.

The victim was not wearing a seat belt. MHP reports that speed may have been a factor in the fatal crash.

The woman's name has not yet been released.
