Woman killed after shooting in Tunica, MS, police say | News

TUNIC, Missi. – A woman was killed and several people were arrested after a shooting at an apartment complex in Tunica, Mississippi, the Tunica Sheriff's Department said.

The Tunica County Sheriff's Office received a 911 phone call reporting that a person had been shot at the Tunica Courts Apartments at 2661 Old Highway 61 N in Tunica, Mississippi.

When sheriff's deputies and first responders arrived on scene, they found a woman had fired shots, officials said.

The woman was identified as Brenda Miller, 34, of Robinsonville, Mississippi.

Officials say Miller was treated at the scene by Pafford, but she later died from her injuries and was pronounced dead by the Tunica County coroner.

Authorities arrested and charged several suspects.

Jaylon Carter, 21, Dequaveon Spears, 21, Jaylin Liddell, 17, and DeShaun Clayborn, 16, face several charges, including murder, attempted murder, shooting into a motor vehicle, driving while pulling. and unlawful discharge of a firearm in a populated area.
