Woman injured in Trigg County crash

A woman was injured in a crash on Linton Road near Atkins Cemetery Road in Trigg County involving a Trigg County sheriff's deputy Saturday morning.

Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree said Sergeant Rob Schnider was heading west to respond to a call when his emergency equipment in his vehicle came loose and he collided with an eastbound vehicle driven by Shannon Parker of Hopkinsville.

Parker was taken to the hospital by ambulance to be examined. No one else was injured in the accident.
