Woman in critical condition after shooting at 11th and Ludlow streets in Philadelphia

A woman is in critical condition after a triple shooting near the downtown Fashion District Sunday evening.

Philadelphia police responded to calls about a shooting near 11th and Ludlow streets around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, where they found three gunshot victims, Philadelphia police Capt. Anthony Ganard told reporters.

A 42-year-old woman was shot in the pelvis and arm and taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, police said, where she is in critical condition. A 22-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman were also shot in the knee and arm respectively, police said. Both are in stable condition.

Officers found four shell casings near the scene, Ganard said, and police plan to review surveillance footage as part of their ongoing investigation.

“There was some sort of argument or dispute here,” Ganard told reporters. “However, we are receiving conflicting information about the description of the shooters.”

This shooting was the fourth to take place this weekend.
