Woman arrested in fatal stabbing in Washington

Washington, D.C.—A woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred Saturday evening.

Saturday at 8:06 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault in the 3500 block of East Capitol Street in Southeast. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was identified as Dwayne Boyd, 31, of no fixed address.

On Sunday, Vanessa Bonaparte, 32, also of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with first degree murder with a weapon. Detectives determined the offense was domestic in nature.

    BROOKLYN, NY—A theft occurred on Friday, May 31 at a store located at 1710 East 14 Street, where a 28-year-old woman was shoplifted. The theft occurred around noon when an unidentified individual took the victim's belongings and quickly fled the scene on foot.

    The suspect, described as a man of medium complexion and build, weighs approximately 180 pounds and is approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a beige baseball cap, a blue sweatshirt, blue jeans and a gray school bag.

    Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. Authorities are now seeking the public's help in identifying and locating the suspect responsible for this crime.

  • Miner shot multiple times in Washington

    Washington, D.C.— Detectives are seeking the public's help in identifying and locating a vehicle involved in a shooting in Southeast Washington.

    Around 2:10 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 2400 block of Elvans Road, Southeast, on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a young man with a gunshot wound, who was then transported to a local hospital for treatment.

    Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect vehicle.

The DC Metro Police Department is offering a reward of up to up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for violent crimes in the District of Columbia.

Authorities are actively searching for the suspect described as having a light complexion and slim build. He is estimated to be between 20 and 25 years old, 5'6″ to 5'8″ tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He notably sports a dark-colored mustache and goatee and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black sneakers.

    Police are urging anyone with information to come forward to help identify and locate the suspect involved in this potentially dangerous incident.

  • NYPD Officer Attacked During Arrest in Manhattan

    An NYPD officer was attacked early Tuesday morning during an attempted arrest at the intersection of Second Avenue and East 60 Street. The incident occurred around 12:50 a.m. when two officers on duty attempted to arrest a suspect wanted for a previous crime.

    During the confrontation, the suspect attacked one of the officers, punching him several times in the face, causing swelling and pain, as well as a sprained shoulder. The injured officer was then transported to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in stable condition.

    The attacker, described as a dark-complexioned man, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall and of slim build, managed to escape on foot. He was last seen wearing a military-colored hooded sweatshirt, a military baseball cap and blue gloves. Police are currently searching for this individual and have asked for the public's help in locating him.
