Woman arrested in connection with fatal hit-and-run in Leon County

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A woman has been charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that happened last week.

Nancy Williams, 62, was arrested Tuesday afternoon and faces two counts of hit-and-run, according to the Leon County Sheriff's Office. The charges include:

  • Failure to remain at the scene of a fatal accident
  • Failure to stop in a collision resulting in injury

The LCSO confirmed the charges against her were related to a hit-and-run on Bannerman Road that killed a man Thursday. A portion of Bannerman Road near Blue Smoke Drive was closed for about four hours that day while authorities investigated the scene.

Williams is expected to appear in court early Wednesday, according to court documents.
