Woman arrested for stabbing the father of her two children in the hand: Cleveland Heights police blotter

Criminal Assault: Noble Road

On June 14, at 5:45 a.m., dispatch received a call about a man stabbed in the hand while at the corner of Noble and Rushleigh roads.

Drops of blood led officers to an apartment in Noble Road, where it was found that the man's left hand had been pierced. He told police that the mother of his children stabbed him when she opened the door to his house. The woman was in the apartment with two young children.

Police took the man to hospital. The police called the woman but got no answer.

The decision was made to enter the apartment to check on the welfare of the children. The woman was in the bathroom and when she was ordered out, she was naked. She said she was taking a shower, but officers saw no signs that she had been in the water.

The children, aged 4 years and 10 months, were not injured. There was blood all over the apartment.

The woman made excited statements while telling police the man had strangled her. She said she was holding the 12-inch steak knife while defending herself when the man grabbed it and cut himself. Police found no marks or scratches on the woman's body.

The woman's 54-year-old mother was called and took custody of the children. The 4-year-old girl witnessed the incident.

Police took the woman into custody on possible charges of domestic violence, felonious assault and aggravated assault. She was also wanted on a felony warrant from Cleveland Heights.

Police records showed the woman also attacked the man with a knife on February 17 this year.

Domestic Violence: Noble Road

On June 13, at 3:25 p.m., police were dispatched to MetroHealth Hospital, 10 Severance Circle, for a report of a woman being assaulted by her ex-boyfriend.

At 5:15 a.m. that morning, the woman told police, she was sleeping in her apartment when she was abruptly awakened by the man strangling her, preventing her from breathing. The woman was able to free herself and began breathing again.

The man then began to beat her with a closed fist on the head, face and body. Eventually, she said, the man got tired of hitting her and she was able to push him out of the apartment and lock the door.

The man does not live in the apartment, but is the father of her son. The man visits his son daily.

She said he frequently assaulted her, but she had been too scared in the past to report the beatings.

Police found injuries on several parts of the woman's body.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the man for domestic violence, assault and strangulation.

Car theft: Coventry Road

At noon on June 14, a woman reported that she had allowed her adult, married cousin to use her 2005 Honda Accord since May 30. On June 10, the man told her that the car had disappeared from her driveway.

The man said he tried to report the car stolen, but was told only the owner could make such a report.

The man later told police he thought he had left the key in the car when he and his wife took his car to go shopping, but when he returned he forgot to look for the key in the car. Honda.

The next day, June 9, at 2 p.m., he discovered the Honda missing in his driveway.

Property damage: Greyton Road

At 6:35 p.m. on June 14, a woman called police to her home to report that, during a disagreement with her 18-year-old daughter, she had broken the window on the front storm door of her home. House. The flying glass caused a small cut to the mother's hand.

The mother made the report in order to report the damage to her owner. The woman did not want to give the police her daughter's name or any other information about her, and she did not want the police to take action against her.

Arrest warrant: Noble Road

At 9:40 a.m. on June 13, police were dispatched to the Noble Food Deal store, 2230 Noble Road, regarding an argument between an employee and a customer.

The male customer refused to leave the store, leading to a confrontation.

The store manager wanted a trespassing warning issued to the customer. A check of the client's criminal record revealed that he had several warrants, including a CHPD warrant for driving with a suspended license and failure to appear in court.

Police arrested the man who was the subject of the arrest warrants.
