Woman arrested at church for assaulting another during Southfield graduation ceremony – The Oakland Press

An argument at a graduation ceremony Tuesday morning in Southfield turned physical violence when one woman attacked another with “an object,” causing minor injuries and leading to an arrest, officials said .

As noted in a press release from Southfield Police Chief Elvin Barren, officers were called to Triumph Church around 11 a.m. on a report of a possible stabbing. The alleged attacker was taken into custody and transported to the Southfield Detention Center without further incident, the release states.

Triumph Church is located at 15600 JL Hudson Drive.

The Oakland Press has contacted the Southfield Police Department for further information about the incident.
