ORANGE — A verbal altercation turned physical, leading to the stabbing of a man and the arrest of a woman earlier this week.

Orange police were dispatched around 10:50 a.m. Thursday to a disturbance in the 500 block of Camelia Avenue.

While on scene, officers learned there had been a verbal altercation between a man and woman who had children together, Capt. Jonathan Baggett said.

The issue turned physical and police said the woman allegedly stabbed the man.

The woman was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon-domestic violence. She is identified as Adore Dorsey, 32.

The unnamed man suffered a non-life-threatening stab wound to his upper body, near the shoulder and chest.

He was transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont by Acadian Ambulance and was later medically cleared, Baggett said.
