Woman arrested after deadly shooting at Holt Shell station

A woman has been arrested and charged with murder after she was involved in a deadly shooting at a Tuscaloosa County gas station Saturday evening.

Capt. Jack Kennedy, commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said sheriff's deputies and VCU were called to the Shell gas station at 1300 Crescent Ridge Road, near Jack Warner Parkway, around 22 45 p.m. Saturday evening.

Two women suffered from gunshot wounds, including Lashonda Leight Street, 46, who died in DCH after the shooting.

Kennedy said police determined that the second woman, Rosanna Latrice Wilson, 43, shot and killed the other woman, Street.

Wilson was also injured during the exchange, but her injuries were not life-threatening.

Kennedy said the two women fought in the Shell station parking lot before Wilson shot and killed Street.

“After consultation with the District Attorney’s Office, Rosanna Latrice Wilson was charged with murder and held without bail,” Kennedy said.

According to Tuscaloosa Thread staff, this is the 15th homicide VCU has investigated so far this year.
