CONCORD, NH — Concord police arrested a woman Wednesday accused of stabbing cars with a knife in the parking lot of an apartment building on Fisherville Road.

Around 3:45 p.m., police dispatch received a complaint from a woman accusing another woman of stabbing cars with a knife and damaging them. The suspect was described as white, with blonde hair and wearing shorts, a light pink sweatshirt and red high-heeled shoes.

Dispatch said a knife was still sticking out of the Toyota Camry parked in the Meadowbrook Apartments parking lot, according to a witness.

A police officer was dispatched to the scene while other officers, coming off roll call, were dispatched later. When the first officer arrived, the suspect had left the scene.

One of the officers said he may have seen the woman walking on Fisherville Road near Dunkin' Donuts earlier in the day. The complainant knew the woman from walking in the area, but did not know her last name. She thought the woman was homeless and in her early 20s. She said she did not want to press charges, but the guard commander said the suspect would be arrested once she was found.

The officer also said hair was lying on the ground near one of the cars.

After taking statements from the victim, officers fanned out, checking other apartment complexes, including different parts of the Meadowbrook complex and Penacook Place, as well as area homeless camps over the past 30 following minutes. Believing the suspect may be hiding in Building 86 at Meadowbrook, officers returned to the complex and searched the building. Having no luck, they then searched Building 90.

Just before 4:30 p.m., police dispatch received a call from Frekey's Dairy Freeze reporting a woman on the ground in front of the business. The woman matched the description of the suspect. The police arrived and the woman began screaming and crying. She was then arrested.
