Woman accused in Conley Road Walmart shooting charged with other crimes

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A woman accused of shooting another woman May 24 in the parking lot of the Conley Road Walmart in Columbia had more charges filed against her Friday.

Whitney Eliesh Nevels-McKee, 35, of Columbia, was indicted Friday by the grand jury. She is now charged with two counts of carjacking, three counts of armed criminal action, one count of second-degree kidnapping, three counts of unlawful use of a weapon, one count of criminal second-degree felony, unlawful possession of a firearm, receiving stolen property and attempting to steal a firearm.

Arraignment on the new charges is set for Monday, June 24 at 9 a.m. She is being held in the Boone County Jail without bail. She has previously been charged with second-degree kidnapping, two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of carjacking, two counts of armed criminal action, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, shooting at or from a vehicle and illegal possession of firearms.

McKee is accused of pointing a gun at a woman and shooting near the woman's head. Several witnesses told police they saw Nevels-McKee fire the gun, according to court documents.

Another witness had said she was approached by Nevels-McKee in the parking lot while driving a car, and Nevels-McKee acted as if she was going to pull out a gun, according to court documents.
