Woman, 61, arrested for throwing Molotov cocktails at 2 Gwinnett homes

Gwinnett County police arrested a woman who allegedly targeted at least two homes with Molotov cocktails.

Investigators say Hong T. Huynh, 61, is responsible for two intentionally set house fires over the weekend.

Huynh was arrested Friday and is being held without bond in the Gwinnett County Jail.

Fire crews were dispatched to a house on Buckingham Court at 5:45 a.m. Saturday morning. At 6:04 a.m., firefighters were called to a home on Turners Ridge Drive, more than three miles away, for another house fire.

Matt Johnson, Channel 2 Gwinnett County bureau chief in Norcross on Wednesday, where neighbors discovered a Molotov cocktail in the front yard of the damaged home.

Gabriela Cisnero told Johnson she woke up early Saturday morning to flames coming from her neighbor's house.

“That's when we saw the cocktails and stuff and we were like, 'Yeah, that must have been personal,'” Gabriela Cisnero said.

She shared photos showing what appears to be a petrol bomb and bags full of cash outside the house near Norcross.

“There were plastic bags filled with gasoline, and then there were wrapped towels,” she said.

One person was seriously injured in the fire.

Police have not commented on the reasons that led to the homes being targeted.
