Witnesses appeal after teenage girl inappropriately touched in Aylesbury

Police are appealing for witnesses following a sexual assault by groping in Aylesbury.

Between 5.30pm and 6pm on Saturday 29 June, a teenage girl was inappropriately touched on the neck, arm and thigh by a man in Bourg Walk – known as Iron Bridge – at the start of Thame Road.

A citizen approached them and asked the victim if she knew the attacker, to which she replied no. The citizen then asked the attacker to leave.

The offender is described as a white male aged between 40 and 50, approximately 5'7″ tall and wearing a navy blue t-shirt, blue jeans and black and white Nike trainers.

Investigating Officer Sarah Simpson said: “I am appealing to any witnesses to this incident or anyone who saw a man matching the description provided in the area at the time to please contact me.

“It was said to be a very busy and hot day with lots of people and families around.

“If you saw something, tell us.

“I also want to speak to the member of the public, a man, who intervened when he witnessed this incident.
