Winston-Salem police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing man after the driver is accused of fleeing from officers

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — Winston-Salem Police are asking for the public's help in locating Kaedian Tyshaun Allen, 19, of Winston-Salem.

Winston-Salem officers attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation Friday around 11:30 p.m. The vehicle failed to stop and drove away, and officers lost sight of it, according to a press release from the Winston-Salem Police Department.


The suspect vehicle was located around 11:50 p.m. Officers were advised that the suspect vehicle was located in Quarry Park. When the police arrived, they found him abandoned in the parking lot.

Shortly after the vehicle was located, the driver, Tyrone Monte Eldridge, Jr., 20, of Winston-Salem, was located and arrested.

He was charged with fleeing to elude and multiple traffic violations. He was given a $5,000 secured bond.

Officers did not find the passenger, Allen, despite the use of a drone with thermal capabilities, camera surveillance footage and a perimeter search conducted by officers at the scene.

On Sunday, Allen's family informed police that he had returned home. Officers returned to Quarry Park where they again searched the area on foot with a bloodhound, deployed a drone, searched all local hospitals and requested assistance from the Winston-Salem Fire Department to search the water.

Allen has still not been found.

On Monday, officers worked alongside WSFD Heavy Rescue and the High Point Dive Team to search the quarry by boat and used a submersible drone, but Allen was not found.

He has brown eyes and black hair. He is approximately six feet tall and weighs 170 pounds. Allen was last seen in the area of ​​1790 Quarry Road, wearing a black-on-red Nike jacket, dark pants and flip flops.

Allen is listed as a missing person. WSPD is not seeking to press charges regarding its involvement in Friday's incident.
