Winnsboro man identified in single-car crash

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, SC (WIS) – Fairfield County Coroner Chris Hill has identified a Winnsboro man who died following a car crash Saturday.

Hill said Wesley Leon Wise, 69, was driving on Highway 200 when his truck left the roadway and overturned.

Wise was pinned in the truck and died at the scene from his injuries, Hill said.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.

The crash is being investigated by the Fairfield County Coroner's Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
