Wife of missing pastor in court for answers

Malaysia (MNN) — You could call Pastor Raymond Koh the missing man. But there is no magic trick behind his story – only a seven-year mystery about where his captors took him.

On February 13, 2017, Koh's car was surrounded, stopped and captured by a group of government men. The incident was captured by a nearby security camera. That was the last time anyone saw or heard from Pastor Koh, despite the tireless advocacy of his wife, Susannah, and the international attention his story received.

Recently, Susanna Koh sued the Malaysian government for negligence in Koh's case. In 2019, Malaysia's Human Rights Commission said it was the special branch of police that kidnapped Koh. But no other explanation was given for his disappearance. They were in court this week.

Todd Nettleton with Voice of Martyrs United States said: “Susanna told me [that] When she went to a lawyer and said, “I want to sue the Malaysian government,” the lawyer looked at her and said, “Are you crazy? It was the government that made your husband disappear, and now you want to sue him? What do you think will happen to you? And his boldness and his courage to say, “No, I want answers. I understand it's risky.

Koh's family asked the court for access to a special task force's report into his abduction. The file is currently closed. Please pray with the Kohs for the truth to come out and for them to be patient in this grueling process.

“I know [Susannah] In saying that, how important it has been for her to know that she is not alone and to know that the body of Christ is connected to her and participating with her in this time of trial,” Nettleton says.

“With court hearings happening literally this week, what better time, what more strategic time is there to pray for justice and pray for the truth to be revealed?

If you haven't already, you can join the tens of thousands of people who have signed a petition to the Malaysian government for information on Pastor Koh. Learn more about the petition from the American Center for Law and Justice hereand about VOM's petition to releaseraymond.com.

“THE [petition] The appeal is the same one Susanna Koh is making in court this week in Malaysia: open the files, tell the truth. Explain what happened to that pastor who disappeared seven years ago,” says Nettleton.
