Why was Ryan García arrested in Beverly Hills?

American boxer Ryan García was arrested Saturday in Beverly Hills. He was seen wearing a helmet as police escorted him out of the Waldorf Astoria hotel under criminal vandalism charges.

The New York Post reports that “Garcia was led out of the hotel peacefully and without issue..”

García's lawyer told TMZ that the athlete “was taken by BHPD to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment and to our knowledge, can be charged with public drunkenness“.

TMZ added that García he may well have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol while committing the act: In California, any damage over $400 can be considered a felony.

The former WBC interim lightweight champion has been embroiled in recent controversy after tested positive for banned substances during a doping testt. Ostarine was found in the fighter's system following a fight with Devin Haney.
