The incident, which was caught on camera, left Gopikrishna seriously injured. The attacker can be seen shooting Gopikrishna in the video, and she immediately fainted. After that, the shooter jumped over the counter and grabbed something from the shelf.

After being taken to a nearby hospital, Gopikrishna received medical treatment for his injuries. On Sunday, despite medical treatment, he died from his injuries. His son and his wife, who still live in Andhra Pradesh, survive him.

Arkansas State Police Director Mike Hagar verified that the suspect exchanged gunfire with law enforcement, during which he was injured. After being captured, the 44-year-old suspected shooter, Travis Eugene Posey, is currently charged with capital murder. He was taken to the prison and placed under arrest.
