The restaurant is located directly across the street from TD Garden and is a popular spot on game days thanks to its extensive drink menu and classic bar bites. • Here are the best urban bars in Greater Boston and beyond

Sullivan's is the West End's quintessential unpretentious dive, just yards from TD Garden. This joint opened in 1933 and is a true throwback to the past.

Play pool, watch the match, listen to some tunes on the jukebox. But don't go hungry: Sullivan's strictly serves drinks.

Besides their Buffalo Chicken Dip (served with waffle fries) and three bars, the best What's interesting about the harp is the possibility of avoiding the queue outside.

If you've ever been to the Garden to watch a game, there's a good chance you've heard about hurricanes. Maybe you listened to a DJ set coming out of the outdoor restaurant, or caught a glimpse of the action on one of the many TVs. Either way, one thing's for sure: Hurricane is throwing a good party.

Celebrate Game 1 Thursday with Michael Felger and Tony Massarotti of 98.5 The Sports Hub. The duo will be live from Hurricane at 2 p.m. before the final match.

150 Canal Street

In terms of scores, every place is a good place. With 33 TVs spread across two levels, Celtics fans can catch all the action at this old-fashioned West End restaurant. While the upstairs restaurant attracts a more relaxed crowd (and serves everything from buffalo wings to bao buns), the downstairs bar hosts a lively fan experience.

Celebrate the first game at the Scores Watch Party on Thursday. Walk-ins are welcome between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., while reservations are required for restaurant and bar seating. There is a $20 cover charge for standing room after 7:30 p.m.

166 Canal Street

Four floors. Two bars. A 24-foot LED TV. It is not for nothing that he is called “the greatest”.

If you're looking for a hip (admittedly rowdy, sometimes) crowd, this is your place. Die-hard fans flock to this West End mainstay for the atmosphere that, at times, makes you feel like you're inside the Garden.

The Greatest Bar is packed during the playoffs, so don't expect to find a seat unless you reserve one in advance. Doors open at 6 p.m. and entry fee is $20.
