Where to Find Lavender Farms Near Olympia

Did you know that there are more than 45 species and 450 varieties of lavender? That's why whenever someone tells me they don't like lavender, I always respond, “All lavender?” Because they definitely don't all smell the same. Some smell a lot more like sage. Some are perfect for cooking. Others will taste bitter when cooked and are better for aromatic uses. Here's where to find lavender farms near Olympia for the 2024 lavender season.

Schirm Loop Homestead Lavender Farm

Located in Olympia, this lavender farm off Steamboat Island Road is easy to find and the picturesque view will make you feel like you've been transported to Europe. Many of their customers go there more than once a season! Schirm Loop Homestead Lavender Farm offers lavender wreaths and wreaths – which are amazing for spring photoshoots! – and a gift shop stocked with lavender products and gardening items. Quench your thirst with lavender honey lemonade. They also have bundles of cut and trimmed lavender for sale.

Something different about this lavender farm is its access. You can paddle from Boston Harbor to their bulkhead, climb a trail, and reach their lavender farm!

If you're looking for a Thurston County lavender farm offering sweet treats as well as fragrant lavender, you've come to the right place! Cobblefield Lavender Farm has unique offerings that make it a must-see during your Thurston County lavender farm tour. Located in Rochester, this lavender farm often distills lavender to make oil right next to its fields, so you can watch the process! Their children love to tell you all about the lavender fields.

After spending time in their fields, head to their lavender pop-up shop where more delights await. They offer lavender lemonade, lavender cold brew, lavender cookies – including a new lavender matcha shortbread – ice cream and much more. It’s a real treat for the nose, eyes and mouth! They also have honey, but owner Tamara Haight let us know that the supply will be limited in 2024, so get there early if you want some! Also be sure to purchase lavender beeswax candles!

Another tip from Tamara: come in the morning or evening, less busy and less hot!

Walupt Farms

Walupt Farms is a lavender farm in Rochester that has 3 acres of lavender. Here you will find lavender oil rollers, as well as sachets and bouquets of dried lavender. They have several varieties of lavender, so you can smell each one and decide which one you like best.

A few other flower products are also available, including an elderflower balm and an elderberry syrup kit, amazing for colds! They also have honey from their own bees. Check out the rock shop with polished rocks, agates and petrified wood.

Evergreen Lavender Farm

Evergreen Lavender Farm in Olympia has been providing us with amazingly fragrant lavender products since 2009. Their large fields contain over 13 varieties of English lavender. And if you didn't know that different lavenders smell very different, you need to go to Evergreen Lavender Farm and find out. You'll even find white lavender here!

After spending time in their beautiful fields, visit their store which is full of lavender products including soaps, lotions, culinary lavender, lavender bouquets, essential oils and many other items.

Don't miss their Lavender Festival on July 13, 2024, with vendors, food, fun and lots of lavender!

Serenity lavender farm

Olympia Farmers Market
Tumwater Farmers Market

If you can't make it to a local Thurston County lavender farm this season, you can find Serentiy Lavender Farm at the Olympia Farmers Market and the Tumwater Farmers Market for the season. The farm itself – located in East Olympia – is not open to the public, but they grow seven varieties of lavender – grave, grosso, phenomenal, gros bleu, ana louisa, royal velvet and melissa – which they use to create incredible products for the agricultural markets. You'll find small batch hydrosols and essential oils, artisan soaking salts, sugar scrub, hand sanitizer, eye and neck pillows, sachets, bath teas, moisturizing sticks. smudge and a variety of floral arrangements!

“I sell intermittently at both farmers markets,” shares owner Christy Conner. “I will be at the Olympia Farmers Market at least twice a month throughout the season. The Tumwater Farmers Market opens in June and I will be there once a month on Sundays. You can follow their farm on the Serenity Lavender Farm Facebook page for updates.

Hillside farms

If you're looking for a beautiful purple backdrop for your event, check out Hillside Farms in Tenino. This Thurston County lavender farm is open by appointment only and can be rented for your big event – ​​wedding, birthday, reunion, etc. ! When it comes to lavender, there are English, French, Spanish and lavender varieties.
