Where is Bryson Muir? What is the Servant Leader Foundation? What we know

Indiana police say they and the Department of Children's Services have been in communication with the parents of missing Logansport teen Bryson Muir; but he is still considered missing and endangered.

Officials visited the Muirs' home on the property of an organization called the Servant Leader's Foundation, but Bryson, 14, was not seen, according to a news release. After agreeing to meet with officials and bring their son Friday, his parents backed out of their plans, the release said.

In 2017, he spoke at an event hosted by Faith Church near Martinsville, Indiana. A Reporter-Times reporter who covered the event said he spoke about how God changed his life after he survived a car accident.

Are Bryson Muir's parents cooperating with the investigation?

Two days after Bryson's disappearance, Cass County DCS workers contacted Indiana State Police regarding allegations of abuse on Bryson Muir. The domestic battery allegedly occurred inside the boy's home in the 1700 block of West U.S. Highway 24 in Logansport, a property owned by a group called Servant Leader's Foundation. In a photo provided to media, the boy appeared to have a black, swollen eye.

Authorities said they contacted the parents, who began “showing signs of cooperation.” On Friday, they said the Muirs had agreed to bring him in at noon to meet with ISP investigators; but by 11 a.m., they backed out, “indicating an unwillingness to cooperate,” according to an ISP statement.
