ID's docuseries Quiet on set: The dark side of children's television looks into the dark allegations made against former Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck.

The four-part series, premiering March 17, features interviews with former cast and crew members as they discuss the alleged toxic and abusive behavior that occurred behind the scenes of their shows at success.

Among them is Drake and Josh star Drake Bell, who alleges that Peck repeatedly molested him when he was a child.

In 2004, as part of Bell's case, Peck pleaded no contest to a charge of oral copulation with a minor under the age of 16 as well as a charge of committing a lewd act with a 14 or 15-year-old.

Peck spent 16 months in prison and was required to register as a sex offender.

Peck got his start in the entertainment industry as an actor, appearing in 80s films such as Return of the Living Dead and the hit sitcom Growing pains, on which he was Alan Thicke's stunt double. After appearing as “Pickle Boy” in All thathe was hired as a dialogue coach, working with Nickelodeon on various projects.

In the early 90s he appeared on various children's shows, both as an actor and dialogue coach, including A boy meets the world, Kenan and Kel, Amanda's Show And What I like about you.

In addition to television, he continued to work on notable films in the early 2000s, including as an acting coach for Holes with Shia LaBeouf and a dialogue coach for love destroyed with Amanda Bynes.

Why was Brian Peck arrested?

On August 19, 2003, Peck was arrested on 11 charges, including lewd acts with a minor, according to a press release shared by the Los Angeles Police Department. At the time, the LAPD said the investigation into Peck began two weeks prior, when “the juvenile's family reported that Peck had molested the child for six months.”

The LAPD said “the lewd acts with the minor occurred approximately two years ago at Peck's residence” while he was training them, but did not release the victim's name; it was later revealed to be Bell.

In 2004, Peck pleaded no contest to two of 11 charges, including oral copulation with a minor under 16 and performing a lewd act with a 14 or 15-year-old. He was later sentenced to 16 months in prison and was required to register as a sex offender.

In the document, it is revealed that several notable actors, including James Marsden and A boy meets the world stars Rider Strong and Will Friedle, wrote letters of support to Peck during his sentencing. It is unclear what the accusations made by those who spoke out in favor of Peck at the time were.

Marsden, Strong and Friedle did not immediately respond to a request for comment from PEOPLE. However, Strong and Friedle have previously addressed the letters and their appearances at the sentencing hearing on their podcast, Pod meets the world.

During the podcast episode, Friedle said Peck “curried favor” with his life and turned it “against the victim” by misrepresenting the accusations. He added that looking back, he believes he was sitting in the courtroom “on the wrong side of everything.”

Where is Brian Peck now?

After serving his sentence, Peck was released from prison in 2005. A year later, he was hired by Disney Channel to work on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody with Dylan and Cole Sprouse, where he did voiceover work for three episodes but had no interaction with the cast or crew on set, according to Variety. The outlet reports that he was immediately fired after Disney Channel learned of his conviction and his voiceovers were replaced.

Even after being fired from Disney Channel The Suite Life of Zack and Cody In 2006, Peck continued to appear in a variety of projects, including this one in 2008.
