A Hopkinsville man has been arrested and charged in connection with a stabbing incident Friday evening.

On Friday shortly after 10 p.m., Paducah police were called to the 1600 block of Bloom Avenue after a reported stabbing. There were no casualties when they arrived. The injured man was later found at a local hospital. That victim told police that John E. Parker, 40, of Hopkinsville, stabbed him during an argument. Fortunately, the injuries are not life-threatening.

Police located Parker near the scene of the incident and, it appears, he was in possession of the knife and admitted to the altercation and stabbing at the victim's home.

Parker was arrested and charged with first-degree assault.
