Westchester teen faces criminal charges for domestic violence, stabbing

The stabbing victim was taken to Westchester Medical Center by EMS with apparent non-life-threatening injuries.

SOMERS, N.Y. — A teenager is facing criminal charges after state troopers were called to a Westchester home, New York State Police announced today.

On May 22, police were called to a home in Somers after reports of a domestic violence incident in which a victim had been stabbed.

Investigators said Marino DeRosa, 19, of Somers, started a domestic incident and stabbed the other person in the home.

The stabbing victim was taken to Westchester Medical Center by EMS with apparent non-life-threatening injuries.

DeRosa was arrested for second-degree felonious assault and fourth-degree misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned in the Town of Somers Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail.
