Westbound Interstate 70 closed near Loveland Pass for safety concerns

Westbound Interstate 70 is closed near Loveland Pass due to a vehicle fire, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The highway is closed between exit 216, for US 6; Loveland Pass and exit 203, Colorado 9; East Frisco/Silverthorne, from milepost 215 to milepost 205 due to a vehicle fire at milepost 206, according to a 9:20 a.m. CDOT X message.

Travelers should expect delays.
