West Springfield stabbing leaves man dead

WEST SPRINGFIELD – The stabbing death of a man Saturday in West Springfield remains under investigation.

Police received a call at 10 p.m. to report the stabbing. Officers responded to the area of ​​Amostown Road and Kings Highway and found the victim suffering from serious injuries, West Springfield police said.

Officers began providing first aid and performing CPR. The victim was taken by ambulance to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield and later died at the hospital, police said.
