Weld County Sheriff's Office Strike Team Recovers Stolen Explosives, Equipment in Greeley – Greeley Tribune

Just four days after their disappearance, the Weld County Sheriff's Office response team recovered stolen explosives and equipment from a Greeley address Thursday morning.

On Monday, a deputy responded to a call regarding a theft of explosives and equipment, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. The statement did not specify what type of explosives and equipment were stolen.

That same day, the response team, along with Greeley police detectives, searched a storage unit where investigators found evidence related to the theft.

Response team members continued their investigation and traced the stolen property to an address in Greeley, according to the release. On Thursday, Weld County SWAT, Greeley SWAT, the Sheriff's Office Response Team and Patrol Deputies searched the suspicious address, recovering the stolen explosives and equipment.

The response team will continue its investigation.
