“We will not lose hope”

The wife of missing British TV presenter Dr Michael Mosley has released a statement three days after the search for her husband began on a Greek island after he disappeared while hiking, saying the family will not lose the hope of his return.

Dr Clare Bailey, who works alongside her husband on books on nutrition and fitness, said in her statement:

“It’s been three days since Michael left the beach to go for a walk. The longest and most unbearable days for me and my children.

“The search continues and our family is extremely grateful to the people of Symi, the Greek authorities and the British Consulate who are working tirelessly to help find Michael.

“We will not lose hope.”

The couple have four children, who are believed to have traveled to the island to help with the search.

Mosley, aged 67, disappeared after leaving a beach on the island of Symi.
