WCSD employee arrested for allegedly having sex with 14-year-old

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – A Washoe County School District employee has been arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy.

On Tuesday morning, around 3:30 a.m., officers with the Reno Police Department took a report from the teen, who said he had a sexual relationship with the 46-year-old man.

Caitlin Rock was then contacted and interviewed. She was eventually arrested and charged with multiple counts of sexual assault of a minor and statutory sexual seduction.

The Washoe County School District released a statement following Rock's arrest:

“The Washoe County School District (WCSD) is appalled by these allegations and has not been informed of the details of the criminal investigation. This alleged behavior is reprehensible and not representative of our employees, our schools, or our district. Ms. Rock is not currently under contract with WCSD as the instructional support professionals' contracts end today.

“The district will follow due process moving forward. WCSD is fully cooperating with the Reno Police Department in their ongoing criminal investigation.
