Washington woman and her fiancé likely fled to Mexico with 2-year-old child

Nadia Cole disappeared on May 29 while leaving Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The official says she may have fled the country with her fiancé and daughter.

SEATTLE — A missing Washington woman, her fiancé and her 2-year-old daughter likely fled to Mexico after being reported missing earlier this week, according to the Pullman Police Department on June 7.

Nadia Erika Cole, 21, was last seen leaving the airport shortly after 3 p.m. on May 29. She was traveling with her fiancé, identified as Aaron Aung of Moscow, Idaho, and her 2-year-old daughter, Seraya.

Police issued a warrant for Aung's arrest for first-degree custody interference after he failed to meet with Seraya's mother for a scheduled June 3 custody exchange.

Aung was believed to have gone to Montana for a fishing trip with his daughter because he was seen purchasing camping gear and a Montana map book in Moscow, according to Pullman police .

However, the investigation leads police to believe that Aung and Cole likely traveled to Mexico in a black 2014 Cadillac XTS with Idaho license plate 1L5147U.

According to a press release from a private investigator for Cole's family, Cole left her belongings at an airport gate to go to the bathroom, but never returned on May 29. She was then seen leaving the airport with “an expression of distress.” The last photographed sighting of her was outside the airport, near the tram platform north of the parking lot.

Cole was preparing to go on a trip to Italy with his family, who were also at the airport.

Cole's father told KING 5 that she was last seen leaving the streetcar at the University Street station in downtown Seattle on May 29. The missing flier distributed by authorities indicates that Cole is originally from Port Angeles and recently graduated from WSU. She was scheduled to take the LSAT in August, her father said.

“We are completely devastated by his passing and fervently praying for his safe return,” wrote his parents, Beata and Kirk Cole.

Aung is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 135 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
