Nassau County police arrested and charged a Wantagh man in connection with a January hit-and-run in South Farmingdale.

Christopher Rosselli, 24, was charged Tuesday with leaving the scene of an incident resulting in death, according to a police news release.

The Jan. 28 crash killed Mohamed Elormi, 24, of Astoria, Queens, Nassau County police said.

In a news release at the time, police said a silver pickup truck struck Elormi at 3:40 a.m. on Merrits Road in South Farmingdale. Elormi was found lying on the road with severe head trauma. Police say the van left the scene without stopping.

Paramedics took Elormi to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Rosselli is expected to be arraigned Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.

Information on whether he had retained an attorney was not available Tuesday evening.
