Wallingford man arrested for allegedly stabbing relative during argument

WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A Wallingford man has been charged after allegedly trying to stab one of his relatives during an argument.

Alan Munoz-Velez, 28, was charged with two counts of assault, tampering with physical evidence and disturbing the peace. The incident occurred at 12:34 p.m. on June 24 in the driveway of 533 Center Street in Wallingford.

Police say another family member tried to intervene in the altercation between Munoz-Velez and the victim, and suffered a non-life-threatening cut to his right hand. He is currently being held on $100,000 bail.
