Violent fight breaks out outside Sydney pub, leaving teen with fractured eye socket

A violent brawl involving 50 people broke out outside a Sydney pub on Sunday, leaving a teenager with a fractured eye socket.

The fight allegedly stemmed from an argument inside the pub at the Ritz Hotel in Hurstville during the broadcast of the UFC 196 fight between Connor Mcgregor and Nate Diaz.

Police were called to the fight on Forest Road shortly after 5 p.m., when up to 50 people spilled out of the scene and into the street, as onlookers captured the fight on their cellphones.

A 17-year-old boy was taken to St George's Hospital with a fractured eye socket and a second teenager had bruising to his forehead.

Police then arrested a 15-year-old girl and took her into custody for offensive language.

So far no further arrests have been made, but police are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Last month, another brawl involving 50 people broke out in another western Sydney suburb.
