Vinton woman among victims identified in Linn County | Vinton Newspapers

Linn County Sheriff Brian D. Gardner has issued the following update in the 3699 E Otter Rd homicide on June 6, 2024.

ROBINS — As the investigation into the triple homicide at 3699 E Otter Road continues, the following information is now available:

In addition to being initially charged with one count of attempted murder, Luke Truesdell (34, of Marion) is also charged with three counts of 1st degree murder. Truesdell will make his first court appearance this morning.

The identity of the victims is as follows:

• Romondus Lamar Cooper (44, of Cedar Rapids) – Died

• Keonna Victoria Ryan (26, of Cedar Rapids) – deceased

• Amanda Sue Parker (33, of Vinton) — Deceased

• Brent Anthony Brown (34, from Marion) – Critical condition

The investigation revealed that the victims appeared to have been injured as a result of blunt force trauma to the head, delivered through a metal pipe. Among the possible motives was the possibility of the crime being made into a film.

The deceased were transported to the state medical examiner's office in Ankeny for autopsy.

The investigation into this incident continues, but no additional arrests are expected this time.
