Videos broadcast of alleged kidnapping, police search for individuals involved

Videos have been released by Peel Regional Police (PRP) showing two individuals allegedly involved in an assault and forcible confinement investigation.

Police say the incident occurred on Goderich Drive in Brampton, Ontario on Sunday, June 2 around 12:20 a.m. In a press release, police say videos obtained of the incident “appear to show a woman attacked by a man. and then being forcibly placed in a vehicle which left the area before police arrived.

Two videos have been released, as investigators from the Criminal Investigation Bureau's Division 22 appeal to the public for help in locating and identifying the man and woman involved.

Video shows the woman being picked up by the man and carried to the driver's side of a dark-colored sedan. The video appears to show the man moving her to the passenger side or back seat of the vehicle, before getting into the vehicle himself.

In a second video released by police, the woman can be seen walking on the sidewalk toward the man's vehicle before the man gets out and walks toward the sidewalk. She turns into the aisle and raises her arm toward the man, who appears to wave at her before turning in the other direction.

The woman is described by police as black, of medium build and with hair braided in a ponytail. Police say she was wearing a camouflage or black and white tracksuit at the time of the incident.

A second person involved is described as a black man, thin and with twisted or braided hair, and was seen wearing a red t-shirt with a white graphic on it and blue jeans.
