Police have released video of a stabbing on the Pacific Beach boardwalk and are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspects, who are wanted for attempted murder.

The attack happened around 10:50 p.m. Sunday near Garnet Avenue, according to San Diego police. A 51-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the back, causing significant internal injuries. A 23-year-old woman who was walking with him was also assaulted, the department said.

“There are four male and three female suspects. One of the suspects, wearing a yellow shirt, suffered a cut on his left hand that likely required medical attention,” police said in a social media post.

Police had earlier said that five or six teenagers approached the victims and “started an argument.”

Anyone with information about the attack is asked to contact Detective Clancy at 858-552-1727 or [email protected]. Those wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers online or at 888-580-8477.
