KANNAUR: The release of a video showing a person digging up remains of 'black magic' performed on KPCC president K Sudhakaran, allegedly near his house premises in Kannur, created a stir on Thursday with the video being shared widely.

The video shows a person digging the ground, breaking terracotta vessels and extracting copper plates and idols.

The video shows alleged conversations between Sudhakaran and Kasaragod MP Rajmohan Unnithan in the background. Sudhakaran is heard telling Unnithan that he doubts black magic is the reason for his health issues.

According to reports, around 20 copper plates were exhumed from Sudhakaran's residence. In addition, many similar items were found in his house.

Responding to media queries in Thiruvananthapuram, Sudhakaran on Thursday said the incident happened a long time ago but he was not ready to reveal more details about it. When the media asked further questions, the KPCC chief told them to ask Unnithan.

Sudhakaran, however, said that no one would harm him through such acts and added that he did not think anyone had made such attempts.

Recently, Congress leader and Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Sivakumar had alleged that a ritual involving animal sacrifice was performed by his opponents near a temple in Kannur to destroy it.
