Victor Osimhen identified as main target, Moises Caicedo investigation, Mount to Man United

Chelsea are preparing for another crucial summer in the transfer market.

Mauricio Pochettino is expected to be named the Blues' new boss before the window opens, at which point a squad exit is expected to take place and further investment in signings.

This is your latest update Chelsea transfer news and rumors…

Victor Osimhen

Manchester United have long been touted as the main suitors for Osimhen's arrival this summer in their bid for a new striker, which has also seen Harry Kane make their shortlist.

Pochettino is also believed to like Kane, according to talkSPORT, but their report has identified Napoli's Osimhen as Chelsea's first-choice striker.

The Blues are hoping to take advantage of the uncertainty surrounding United's takeover and secure the Nigerian's signature at a cost of around £125million.

Such a deal would likely mean the end of Joao Felix's stay in west London.

Moses Caicedo

Brighton have, as Fabrizio Romano reports, already held talks with Arsenal over midfielder Caicedo, who they fought so hard to keep in the January transfer market.

But transfer journalist Dean Jones has now claimed Chelsea are very much in contention and will inquire with Brighton about their stance on cashing out.

The capital club would like to do their transfer business sooner and get a quick answer on whether Caicedo could join or if he should focus on other goals.

And eagle-eyed Chelsea fans spotted director Joe Shields sending the player a congratulatory message on social media after the Seagulls qualified for the Europa League. Which is something (maybe).

Mason mount

Manchester United are preparing a bid for Chelsea academy graduate Mount amid interest from Liverpool and Arsenal.

Standard sport It appears the midfielder is preparing to bid farewell to Stamford Bridge after being left in limbo over a new contract, with talks at a standstill heading into the final year of his deal.

Pochettino is believed to admire Mount but made no personal contact with him until the final weekend of the season, for which the England international suffered an injury.
